The electronic document from the perspective of notarial activity in Cuba

Abstract

In the present work a doctrinal and juridical study of the figure of the electronic document and its visibility in
the Cuban environment is carried out. Technical assessments are made on the relevance of the electronic document as
a guarantee or challenge in the current Cuban context. The basics of the digital signature are analyzed in the electronic
document. Cryptography is addressed as guarantor of the legal security of the notarial electronic document; As well as
the performance of the notary before the new challenges of computer science.
