Abstract

This paper aims to evaluate the noise incidence in two classrooms of block C of the National Pedagogical University (72th Street). In these spaces the communication and the intelligibility of the word are complex, given that the rooms are located on a vehicular road as it is the 72nd Street, and the materials used as a division between rooms are not suitable (wood 5mm thick) , as well as the geometry of the room and the layout of the furniture, among other factors. Based on what has been said, the current acoustic conditions of the classrooms are evaluated, according to national and international standards, which determine how to measure reverberation time, acoustic pressure, insulation conditions and noise background, etc. There is also a perceptive diagnosis of the population that takes classes in these enclosures. Finally, a set of acoustic adaptation recommendations are proposed for these spaces according to the analysis of the measurements and the perceptive diagnosis of the people.
