Abstract

This paper summarizes a methodological proposal for the analysis and curricular design of the area of Technology and Informatics, the proposal raises as fundamental axis the conditions, expectations and institutional philosophy, also guides its work in the education guidelines in the area both nationally and internationally. This proposal has been implemented in the “Liceo de la Universidad de Narin?o”, which has been recognized in 2017 as the best school in Colombia according to a synthetic index of educational quality. The process includes an exhaustive curricular analysis, according to the guidelines of George Posner, one of the experts with greater recognition in this field. Likewise, it proposes a curricular design by competences based on the approaches of Sergio Tobo?n, who enjoy wide recognition in this area. Finally, a new evaluation stage is proposed in the process, which includes several important steps: design of curricular evaluation, application of evaluation, socialization of results, feedback, improvement and final implementation. As already mentioned, the proposal establishes as a central axis for the curricular reconstruction, to take as a starting point a complete analysis of the philosophy and institutional guidelines, according to the IEP; as well as the main orientations for the area of Technology and Informatics at national and international level, which should give the curriculum the most appropriate orientation and pertinence, conforming to the needs of modern society.
