Abstract

This article presents the technological competence from Educational Robotics with the use of ARDUINO in the eleventh grade students of the José Dolores Daza Educational Institution in the township of Milagros – Bolívar (Cauca), a strategy that in addition to enhancing computational thinking develops cognitive skills necessary to achieve significant learning. The methodology is based on a projective and interactive study with a mixed approach in terms of information collection and qualitative with respect to the results that show the difficulties faced by students when solving academic problems and in turn demonstrate low development of competencies and skills essential to reach higher levels of thinking. It is concluded that implementing innovative technological tools such as ARDUINO allows to dynamize the construction and acquisition of knowledge and the strengthening of educational processes.
